Ashley Hutton (Atlanta, Georgia) began her dance journey at Dance Academy West and Studio 23, where her deep passion for dance was ignited. Before college, she immersed herself in a range of prestigious programs and intensives, honing her skills in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. Her training includes experiences at Joffrey Ballet, Alonzo King LINES, and Columbia City Jazz. In 2018, she was selected for Project 7’s Future Dance Apprenticeship under the direction of Cherrise Wakeham, followed by her participation in the Xcel Teen Program at Xcel Studios. Ashley recently graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a BFA in Dance specializing in Modern and a minor in Psychology, studying under the guidance of Garfield Lemonious, Jason McDole, and Jae Man Joo. During her time there, she had the privilege of performing in works by renowned choreographers such as Rennie Harris, Teena Marie Custer, Kiesha Lalama, and Latasha Barnes, among others. Currently, Ashley is choreographing and teaching at various dance studios in the Atlanta area, a role she is deeply passionate about. Her commitment to the art of dance extends beyond performance; she is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for her students. Through a well rounded curriculum, she introduces them to various dance styles, fosters their creativity, and instills in them a profound sense of discipline and passion. Ashley is devoted to helping her students develop their individual artistry and discover the transformative power of dance as a means of personal growth and connection.
